The state government has proposed to provide cheaper power to industries during off-peak period as Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) are having surplus electricity.

The power distribution companies, commonly known as discoms, have moved their Annual Revenue Requirement (ARR) for financial year 2018-19 before the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) and once it is allowed, the government is likely to announce cheaper power for high-tension industries during off-peak hours.
