Senate Standing Committee on Energy on Tuesday approved the “Private Power Infrastructure Board (amendment) Bill, 2017” with slight amendment in the National Assembly’s approved Bill designed to merge PPIB and Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) after the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) AEDB accepted the merger in the presence of Minister for Power Division, Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari.
