Power shortages reach 3100MW

LAHORE: Power shortage has reached to 3100 megawatt that led to increase in load shedding both on rural and urban feeders.

Sources said reduction on water releases from Tarbela and Mangla dams was prime reason of drop in power generation that was recorded at 21100 megawatt on Friday.

It may be noted that the frequency of power outages has improved with a rise in mercury, which is likely to touch highest level in the days ahead.
