PESCO Chief, Additional Chief Secretary Shahzad Bangash, Principal Secretary to CM Muhammad Israr and other relevant officers attended the meeting.

The Chief Minister directed the quarter concerned to immediately start working on up gradation of transmission and supply lines and just distribution of electricity to Malakand Division. The projects including the grid stations in Abbottabad, Swat and Nowshera should be completed immediately that would upgrade the system of power infrastructure to facilitate the people and minimize load-shedding and improve the power transmission to different localities. Work should also be accelerated on projects at Chakdara, Batkhela, Thana and Alpuri in order to complete them as expeditiously as possible because the unscheduled load-shedding caused by weak infrastructure creates law & order situation.
