Murad blames past power policies for present electricity crisis

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the current power crisis stems from undefined and unworkable power policy going back several decades.

He stressed the need to focus on indigenous resources with a clear power policy.

The chief minister, who inaugurated the 50 megawatt Jhimpir Wind Power Plant in a local hotel here on Wednesday, recalled his promise that he had made to generate 1,000 megawatts of renewable energy by the end of his tenure.
